Running in New Orleans
I have been a runner for a few years now, and I always love to find new places to run. One of my favorite parts of running in New Orleans is the fact that there are no hill. I grew up in Connecticut so I’m used to running up a lot of hills, and my coaches used to make me run the hilliest routes. Running here is just really relaxing because there are no hills and the view around me in Uptown is so pretty. Sometimes I run along the neutral ground along St. Charles Avenue because I love looking at all the mansions and the oak trees lining the streets. I used to run on the sidewalks on St. Charles but I would fall almost every single time and embarrass myself because of how awful and cracked the sidewalks are here. Another place I love to run is Audubon Park; it is about 1.8 miles long, and no matter how many times I run there I never get bored of the view with the palm trees, statues, wildlife, and house. If you are a runner definitely go to Audubon!
