Christmas shopping in the Quarter
This past weekend, Bridgit and I decided to go to the French Quarter because we needed to buy Christmas presents. We were being ridiculously touristy and spent over $30 at a po’boy shop on Bourbon Street and then went over to the French Market. We looked around for HOURS, and I ended up spending all of my money on giraffe figurines, food, and an alligator overmit. We passed by a snowball shop while we were shopping so we stopped to go buy some. Neither of us had cash on us since we spent it all on souvenirs, and there was a minimum limit of $10 if we were to use a credit card. So instead of walking away, we bought enough snowballs to fit the limit. Our hands were completely filled because we walking around sharing three snowballs and carrying around all of our souvenirs. People at the stands even asked where we were from, and they laughed when we said we live in New Orleans. The day was great until we get to my car and see that the parking lot had put a boot on my car because we were shopping for around five hours and didn’t realize it and had to spend $90 to get the boot off the car. So, WHEN YOU’RE IN THE QUARTER BE CAREFUL OF WHERE YOU PARK.
