Last night was most definitely on the list of the best nights I have had in New Orleans. I was invited to go to the Preservation Hall. I was fortunate enough to be on the guest list and get to see very close to the band, I also had a view of the audience. Being able to see the audience was rather interesting. As the audience members filed in, quickly taking up all the seats, then filling in the standing room in the back, I could see the excitement in everyones eyes (whether they were young, old, black, white, asian, etc.)
Once the band announced the first song and started to play, there was not one person in the room that was not smiling or tapping there foot or moving in some sort. It was magical to see all these different types of people jamming to the same type of music.
It was also my first time ever seeing "The Saints" by a live traditional Jazz band. It was indescribable, simply AWESOME!!!!
