The other day, Bridgit and I went to City Park to work on our project about Mid-City. I’ve always thought City Park was a unique place because it is a huge green space in the middle of New Orleans. The park is used by everyone of every age whether it’s kids playing at Storyland, teenagers riding skateboards, or adults using the open fields for workouts- there is something there for everyone . It has an outdoor track, mini golf, playgrounds, a beignet shop, a carousel, and at Christmas time they have this event called, Christmas in the Oak. They have lights and figurines and it’s open everyday leading up to Christmas, and is even open Christmas night, and some of the nicest Christmas decorations I have ever seen.
