St. Charles
I work as a desk assistant at Cabra on the Broadway campus. I love my walk down St. Charles to work. It's only about 10 minutes but if the weather's nice it really adds something nice to my day. Looking at the oak trees with the Spanish moss and Mardi Gras beads strewn about it's branches makes me wonder who else has looked at these branches? Whose beads are those? What krewe threw them? What memories have been created at this very spot? That's what I love about New Orleans. Memory and history is etched into every street, every tree, every house. It's nostalgic in a haunting, ethereal sort of way that makes my heart ache for New Orleans.
