The retail scene in New Orleans stepped up in 2013! The arrival of Tiffany & Co., H&M, and a new Starbucks on Canal Street are all hot topics among New Orleanians. Tiffany and Co. opened in Canal Place Dec. 11 and H&M opened in the old Hard Rock Cafe' building. The Starbucks opening at 700 Canal Street
has been styled to evoke "what the space might look like if it had belonged to a Louisianan merchant in the early 1900s." The two story H&M building is the second store in the country to feature a home decor section. The opening party on November 15 was teeming with young New Orleans socialites, models, developers, and Hollywood stars! Special appearances from Blake Lively, Emma Roberts, Ryan Reynolds, and the Dolls kept the attendees happy.
I was invited to the party and it was one of the best nights I had all semester!
