New Orleans
television personality Frank Davis died at the age of 71. Davis was known
widely through the city for his love of the outdoors, cuisine, carnival, and
for having a good time. His unmistakable New Orleans accent was a favorite
of many on the WWL stations. He probably will be best remembered for his
jovial tag line “Naturally N’ Awlins” that concluded his interviews. He
hosted a cooking demonstration every Tuesday on WWL, and he was known
for keeping his eyes on the parades. He never missed a parade,
no matter rain or shine. He was the quintessential
"New Orleans Renaissance Man." He could tell you about the
best fishing spots in the wetlands, cook you a delicious meal, and then take
you to a parade where he could easily catch the most throws. He will be missed
very much.
